Growing up in Mississauga, Ontario, Simon would play youth hockey in Ontario where he would finish his 16U year in the GTHL for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Simon played junior hockey in the USPHL and also the Alberta Junior Hockey League. After 2 years in the AJHL, Simon would go play NCAA Division 1 hockey at the University of Vermont. During his junior year, he would transfer to Aurora University at the Division 3 level to finish out his college career. At Aurora, he was a teammate of current CPH coach Anthony Yurkins. Looking to continue to playing, Simon would continue playing hockey at the professional level in ECHL and SPHL. Simon has Played for the Macon Mayhem, Norfolk Admirals, Rapid City Rush, Atlanta Gladiators, Kalamazoo Wings, and for CPH President Ryan Cruthers with the Fayetteville Marksmen. All of these stops have given him the opportunity to learn from some very good coaches and with some very good players.
Simon is finishing his season in the ECHL and will be making Charlotte his off-season home. Look to see him helping out at clinics over the course of the summer.
