Justin Wells

Justin grew up playing Tier 1 youth hockey with the Cleveland Barons organization. A big, strong skating, good puck moving defenseman who would advance through youth hockey to play junior hockey in the USHL. Justin would play two seasons of junior hockey for the Sioux Falls Stampede. While at Sioux Falls, Justin would earn an NCAA Division 1 scholarship to go play at Bowling Green State University. An every day player for 4 years, Justin would earn a college degree from Bowling Green. Taking advantage of a being given a 5th year of eligibility, Justin would transfer to Boston College to finish out his college career. Looking to continue his playing career, Justin would go play for the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL. Iowa was the AA Affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.

 

Justin has had the opportunity to play and learn from some very good coaches over his career and had the ability to go to NHL and AHL camps during his playing career. Playing during a time when Skill development became a huge focus, Justin has knowledge that will be very valuable to young players.
